Lightroom 6 has been touted as a significant improvement over its predecessors, but my experience with it has been mixed at best. While it does offer some notable features, such as the ability to use your graphics card and improved stitching and HDR capabilities, I've found that many other aspects of the software are lacking.

One of the most frustrating issues I've encountered is the Crop tool in the Develop module, which often breaks, replacing the image with a blue rectangle and white lines. This kind of glitch can be infuriating, especially when you're trying to make precise adjustments to your photos.

Another feature that's been touted as an improvement is the brush tool, but in my experience, it's slower than ever before. I've used brush tools since Paint and Photoshop 5 on a 166 MHz Pentium, and I find LR6 to be incredibly slow compared to previous versions.

While some features may be missing options or could have been done better, they do work for the majority of cases. However, the lack of speed and polish in many areas makes it difficult to fully enjoy the benefits of Lightroom 6.

In conclusion, while Lightroom 6 has its strengths, such as improved stitching and HDR capabilities, it's clear that there are still some significant issues that need to be addressed. Until then, I'm not convinced that it's worth upgrading from previous versions.
